You're getting Metroid Fusion, Warioware and Mario vs DK on the GBA! And we still need to find out what the other 5 NES and 5 GBA will be. Mmm, should I get one on the holidays for $170 or one now for $250 with $150 worth of content?

If you're going to get one….wait for a few days before the price change…buy it from Best Buy…get your free games…return to best buy and say you want your discount due to a price drop within a week of your purchase and tada….get the best of both worlds.

but that $150 worth of content is really worth like 50 cents….or free….freaking 10-20 year old games lol…why not add some colecovision or atari 2600 games to it?

im sure some 3DS hits right now will drop in price tremendously, either offficially or through eBay/Amazon/Craiglist. I think its better to hold on, its not like we run out of games to play on PS3/PSP

now that the price has dropped, i'm definitely more interested in wanting to pick one up.  But now the problem I think lies with the game library. It's neat that they are giving old classic games to early adopters.  Least it better than nothing =]

3DS still has a long road ahead of it. It needs to differentiate itself from the DS. the average consumer just believes its another iteration of the DS. I mean we have had the fat, lite, DSi, XL and so on so I can see the confusion.

It's library is its biggest problem right now. Sure over time that will be fixed but it really has nothing worthwhile yet.

Their stocks crashed due to this announcment. Dropped 20% to a 6 year low.

I can only play zelda and metroid so many times lol this is where the tech is going though so I can see people buying now just for the smaller older games. A recent study showed that more people would buy a game they wouldnt even like if the unlock able was an older game like excitebike. Sad but true.

Right now if I owned a 3DS I'd get Pilotwings, Ocarina of Time, RAbbids Travel in Time, Ghost Recon Shadow Wars, Steel Diver and $40 in eShop credit. Looking forward to Layton, Lautrec, Cave Story, Devil Survivor Overclocked and Stafox 64 3D in the short term. While I get my 3DS I'll play my DS library (currently on FF IV and then I'll do Dragon Quest IV).

I tried it last week at the mall and wow, was I NOT impressed.

Zelda looks great and all, but I've finished it so many times on the N64 (which I still have) I really don't think I'll get this.

I'm much more interested in the Wii U.

Try a game you haven't played ye. SFIV looks VERY GOOD on it as does RE: Mercenaries (more interesting demo for actual single player game included!) or even Pilotwings which really makes great use of the 3D.
