I\'ve started making a list of all my Wii purchases for the next couple of months to try and budget for it. Between all the games released last year I didn\'t purchase (because I got a PS3 and 6 games, along with New Super Mario Bros Wii, Onechanbara Wii, Ghostbusters Wii, Wii Fit Plus, 10,000 Nintendo Points for Wiiware, VC and DSiware and $100 in PSN Cards, as well as 4 DS games, all purchased between october-december 2010), the ones already released in this new year and those set to released from now unitl June 2010, the list just keep growing and growing!
Here\'s my list, what\'s yours?
Tatsunoko vs Capcom
No More Heroes 2
FFCC: The Crystal Bearers
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
RE: Darkside Chronicles
The Calling
Ju-On
SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1
Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings
Marble Saga Kororinpa
Overlord: Dark Legend
Castlevania: Judgment
Sky Crawlers
Dawn of Discovery
New Play Control Pikmin
A Boy and His Blob
Shiren The Wanderer
Little King\'s Story
Muramasa
Spyborgs
DJ Hero
Dead Space Extraction
Guitar Hero: VAn Halen
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Metroid: Another M
Endless Ocean 2
Red Steel 2
Epic Mickey
Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon
Monster hunter Tri
Arc Rise Fantasia
Sin & Punishment 2
Trauma Team
All in all, it crosses the $1,200 line, and that is without even accounting for all the Wiiware, VC, DSiware, PSN and PS3 games I want as well… so it seems I\'ll need to sell a Kidney or reaaaally cut back on my purchases.
That shouldn\'t be the case with all the great games already released and those soon to follow. Still, to each their own and we can all have our opinions…
Outside of finding Darkside Chronicles for cheap, the only thing I\'m looking forward to is Endless Ocean 2.
Unless Nintendo announces another first party release before E3.
Sin and Punishment 2 will definitely be released before the end of June 2010. SMG 2 could go either way depending on how far along the game really is. On Zelda you are correct, that was a small spur of the moment kind of thing.
Still, no games from the list at the start of this post interest you?
Maybe Epic Mickey, but that\'s projected for this Christmas. As long as Spector stops developing verbal diarrhea, citing the game as the primary reason for the re-acquisition of Oswald.
And I still think Sin and Punishment 2 will be a post E3 release. Yeah, Nintendo originally stated it would be a Q1 2010 release…but that was back during E3. Since then, it was left off their \"early 2010\" lists issued back on December (Which covered through the end of March). It still hasn\'t even been submitted to the ESRB for review. And there\'s been virtually nothing mentioned about the game, outside of occasional screen shots from the JPN release. I just don\'t see it coming before August, as a hold over first party release between the dry spell of Summer and one-two punch of SMG2 and Mystery Title for Christmas.
It could squeak out prior to E3 a la Punch-out! 2009, but I\'d expect a heavy presence at E3 to promote the title then.
Maybe Trauma Team, but I\'ve still got the other two to work through.
I should probably mention I\'ve got about 60 Wii titles and I\'ve really only owned the console for about a year, so I\'ve got a healthy backlog to keep me interested.
And now Super Mario Galaxy 2 has been set for a release… on May 23. And Sin and Punishment 2 is out on June 7. Now I need to re-adjust my games budget.
I was just about to come in and post about.
I could have seen Sin and Punishment 2, as I eluded to in my previous post.
But Mario Galaxy 2 in about 3 months?
Wow, risky gamble Nintendo.
But it speaks volumes of 1) Popularity of Mario and 2) Nintendo appealing to the "hardcore crowd"
Either way, sign me up for both. We all win with a new Mario Galaxy game
Maybe Metroid and Zelda aren't too far off for a 2010 release.
