Ok here it goes. To start things of, let me explain what Nintendo does:

All Nintendo 1st party games (and it seems that starting with the 3DS, ALL GAMES) come with a small booklet with a special code that you register at Club Nintendo Rewards and get coins, which can then be used to "buy" digital...
