I guess the doubleclick problem was mainly in the mouse but it's odd that blocking the doubleclick cookies reduced how frequent it was.

Another concern I have is that certain dell mice develop a double clicking problem of their own. My brother in law told me this and says getting a new mouse for his computer solved his problem....
