I'll agree with the Journey nomination being a bit much. But Walking Dead deserved the nomination (unlike Angry Birds last year?) and honestly speaking I think it earned the win. Maybe Borderlands 2 could have been a winner but the whole idea of nomination is that it's worthy of winning. and I think Walking Dead winning GOTY was ok.
Can't wait for my points because I bet hard on that.

lol you serious?…borderlands 2 and halo 4 are………………….OVER RATED…Halo..hasn't been great since 2..while 3,odst,reach sucked, 4 MP is alright (but the story is GOD AWFUL)..Borderlands 2 isn't anything special either.It's funny sure,but that's about it. a bazzalion guns WOWOW!!!!! this stat has 1 more stat than this gun so it make's it a new gun!…The walking dead and journey were amazing games and deserved to be there…Halo and bl2,not so much
Walking dead wasn't even a game.. it was an animated Walking Dead adventure where you get to "direct" the story that will end the same no matter what you choose to do.

.I will give you that they should've had multiple endings in the game and the one ending kinda soured me a little on the game..But all in all it was a great game,with a great story…halo and borderlands stories were hot garbage.
choice doesn't make a game a game. Halo 4 ends the same no matter what you do. We don't play games to get different endings.. well at least not most of us. We play games because of how their journey's are. Walking Dead's journey toward the conclusion was compelling, and that's why it deserved it's award.

I was surprised to see that this won but I really think the VGAs did it to surprise people since Black Ops and Call of Duty has been winning consistently for the past few years. Everyone expected garbage wins voted in by the "bro" crowd but I think it was likely pushed to redirect peoples' attention to the VGAs and not think they're so bad after all.
Not shorting Walking Dead at all, I'm sure it's great, but I've yet to play it. It also seemed like an extremely left field choice when so much else was out there that was infinitely longer and better.
