I bought 400 days from the sale.. but i'm nervous. I'm not sure i can go thru the heartbreak again.
never got around to playing the walking dead games. havent really been in the mood to play any games recently except on my nexus
wasn't that amazing. very overtated "game" I mean most telltale games suck, but at least sam and max had some comedy

I just bought Blood Dragon for 3.75 and Enslaved premium for 5 bucks. God i have like a 10 0 game backlog, but that deal is too good. I hear gr8 things abou enslaved, and for basically for 2.50 for the game and dlc can't say no,.
And BD i wanted to play a long time, and 3.75 normally 15? Come on now XD
it's just terrible. Every freemium game now likes to brag about how you don't need to pay to win. But not paying takes a lot of bloody time and effort. I keep wondering why this game is so hard all the time and then i realize it's not that I suck at tower defense games. It's that this game is completely regiggered to make use of their super touch powers and contrary what everything I've read you don't earn enough money to use those all the time. So you end up in this grind where you have to find a level to replay over and over again just so you have a *slow* but steady increase of money. Then you get to the level you're stuck on and hope you have enough extr a money for 3-4 power attacks and only one of them is really useful (and it's the most expensive of the three) so heaven help you if you blow your money and DON'T beat the level. Even beating the level completely robs you of your enjoyment because it feels like cheating rather than winning.
It's just everything about the game feels like it's going to be awesome... and then isn't.
It becomes a grind, you just replay levels you CAN beat until you get enough money to afford enough super powers that let you get past the levels you can't beat. That's not fun.
Plants vs Zombies 1 is a game I've replayed 3 times. Completed it each time. Spend a ton of hours in extras the first time and few hours each other time. If I ever get a steam version of the game I'm willing to play it thru to completely again. It's pure fun in a way that is rarely found in gaming. It's a game all about enjoyment like Prince of Persia Sands of Time. It's not about will you beat it. It's about when, and how. For efficiency people like me every level is about getting that ideal layout as fast as humanly possible. For the creative types it's about stretching how far you can stray from efficient and still beat the level. Either way you know you're going to get that oddly satisfying tinge. I've often wished for the chance to replay levels in PvZ. Yet PvZ2 took that wish and made it a nightmare. I don't WANT to replay the levels. Because now I have to get efficient more efficient than humanly possible to win which is why I have to cheat so often. the game is just flat out bothersome.
The only thing they got right was keeping *just* enough of the original fun to make me WANT to see what's next. To SEE how the new plants are affected by the good powerup system. But I've come to hate the stupid dave challenges which contrary to all the reviews aren't optional. I hate the match game because the tiles flip so slow and require touch precision that just isn't there. I hate hate hate touching games. They never work as well as buttons. But for PvZ I was willing to try. I did try and love 1 but 2 is making me depressed.
I'm at a point now where it could be incredibly fun if I could just play 5 levels without the need to grind but I know EACH of the next five levels will have that one point 60% thru the match when I'll get a rush of zombies I can't possibly defeat without using my powers.
The new worlds are fun, the new plants are fun, the new plant powerups are fun. The new system of upgrades is decent.. but they just kill it with the difficulty.
What's offensive most is that this was a game that appealed to so many casual gamers. If I can't do it what are THEY doing? They don't even know HOW to grind.
