I have never been a gamer because I have enough other activities (habits) that take up my time..so I have avoided gaming. Having said that, I ended up with a ps3.. Long story having to do with a return credit at best buy and it had to be device that plays blu ray. So I decided to get the move bundle thinking that there would be games that will get my lazy butt off the couch. Sports champions is great. I bought an extra controller and the archery is great..very challenging..at least for me..I do feel it in my shoulders. Table tennis is also very cool..I am impressed with the precision of the motion controller. Bocci is a lot of fun..my wife and I played it for the first time today..very realistic. I also like the disc golf.
I would like a good bowling game if anyone knows of one.
I enjoy Sports Champions alot. Especially with my own soundtrack which you can create via the playlist editor on the XMB and then load via sound options from in game. Bowling is a tough cookie. I dont like the High Velocity Bowling but its there on psn or on retail disc if you so chose to try it. I would recommend the dart game and Tumble. Tumble being the must have Move title in my eyes. Theres also revers course DLC via the playstation store under add-ons disc based, which I highly reccomend for Sports Champions.
High Velocity felt like I was simply throwing the ball. Now the game can be played using the Dual shock controller which is in fact a motion controller which has a much more solid feel to it. The Move was not taken advantage of in my eyes when they later added the support for it. I hope that helps you.
Its a great tech demo since it succesfully utilizes the move..but its a little boring/annoying without multiplayer :(..
If you are looking for a real game to play with the move, I would wait for socom, sorcery, or ps move heroes. 🙂
Sorcery looks great, but as of now the best move game is still Sports Champions... 😎
Sports Champions is very cool, just wished it had online multiplayer. Frisbie/disc golf, archery, and table tennis are my favs. Does anybody know if they plan on coming out with a SC2? Would like to see something like batting cages or home run derby type game.
Beastxjason also mentioned Darts which is also very entertaining.
Still waiting to try out Tiger Woods Golf game to see how the move feels.
Definitely. I agree with most responses to this thread, Sports Champions is an awesome move game! I just wish they would've included bowling! But, Frisbee Golf and Bocce make up for the bowling!
This game has tons of difficulty settings and a couple different unlockables. In order to unlock the characters you have to beat all of the opponents through the Gold difficulty and then you'll unlock a new opponent and once you beat them you'll unlock the character. I've only unlocked two characters so far!
I'm going to Platinum this game, eventually! Haha, it's not easy though, but that's why it's so fun! It's challenging and rewarding, plus it's tons of fun when you have other people over.
Yeah, definitely! I was hoping for Bowling AND Darts with Sports Champions, but since Top Darts game out, the darts are covered! Definitely check it out, very realistic, even down to the holes that are left in the board throughout the game, you can see which area is getting hit most often, it's very nice!
I was in Best Buy awhile back and EVERYONE was crowing over Kinect. There was 1 little boy at Move. After he walked away for in about 10 minutes I was like "what the hell I'll try it". Big mistake. Soooo boring. At Sports Champions is supposed to be the launch title? I wish they would've just done it easy and made a Lightsbaber game or something. The controllers were clunky, I felt like playing Sega CD with the CGI games…
Then again, that was a demo controller. Maybe it was broke from all the usage. Everyone else says it was great. So I could be a bit unfair over here. Haven't picked it up since though. Maybe I should XD
