Im going to rent it first from Gamefly. Only games I buy day 1 are ones that I'm seriously stoked for. Other than that, I rent from Gamefly and buy it from them for like $15 cheaper (even if the game just came out lol). For instance, the Keep It price for Modern Warfare 2 and Assassin's Creed 2 is just $45, and it has free shipping, and you get to play the game while they ship out the box and user manual.
There\'s a monthly fee tho isnt there? So it kinda washes out? And do they gurantee youll get it in first few weeks of release?
well, that's hit or miss. It's like Netflix, but they only have 4 distribution centers, so you aren't guaranteed to get it within the first few weeks, but its still a possibility. There was one game I rented and got lit like 5 days after its release date. The monthly fee is for renting the games anyway. I think its a good deal. No late fees or anything and when you buy one game or return another, they'll send out the next available game on your list as well. Although I've never used it (or compared prices), they also now accept used games you can sell them
Their used game trade-in program requires that you've been a paid subscriber for at least 3 months and unless they've changed it you can only use the credit to pay for your subscription fee. I've had a lot of success with getting new releases from gamefly. I signed back up for gamefly 2 weeks before Demon's Souls came out and because I managed my queue right I was able to get it right away. Typically takes 2 days to get to me from the Pittsburgh distribution center
