I haven\'t played to much of BC1 but I have to say that I am really getting into BC2. I don\'t know if a lot of changes have been made but just the amount of detail in the game is amazing. MW2 is really good too, but I don\'t know if this game wouldn\'t give it a run for it\'s money if it had a bigger advertising campaign.
The 1 map in the beta is getting old but than again it\'s beta, it\'s for testing purposes not to see how many different maps you can have. The map is fairly long with all of the different objectives so I guess I can\'t complain to much.
I will say that it is easier to score points in bf:bc2
They also changed the classes a little bit. The medic now unlocks my favorite weapon from bf:bc of the g36 instead of being the support class
I will get the limited edition version of this game :)
if you got a good tank/engineer duo, you can absolutely dominate in that game. My engineer kept my tank alive and manned the turret gun while I took out opposing tanks and all that, and we pretty much just tore through the map. Unfortunately, he got killed in a bad time and we lost the tank at the bridge down by the beach (I chased down a guy and ran him over and had a little bit of trouble getting back up the embankment, but managed to do so) because about 4 guys stormed us. I almost made it home free, though, but they got the best of me. Ended the round with 29 kills and only 5 deaths total, though, which was one of my best rounds.
The next round was the worst, though, because the good guys had left and I didn't have any engineers to keep me going, so we lost the first two objectives and it was all downhill from there. Even the guys who had tanks kept moving around too fast so I couldn't repair them and we lost all of those. It was as if our team just gave them the win. Total lack of teamwork from the get-go.
My favorite class is def. the engineer. I also constantly perform repairs on our tanks. One round I played a couple days ago was absolutely awesome! We were defending and we kicked their asses so hard they couldn't even get past our defenses on the first base! They did manage to take out one objective, but we stopped them from then on
This game is awesome and I will most definintely be picking it up along with GoW3 in March!
Also, had a couple bugs. I spawned next to a squadmate and wound up under a building and had to kill myself to get out. And when the tanks back up while you're behind them, there's some major clipping issues.
Yeah these type of games are about team work, sure you can win by not playing as a team but that will just make it so much harder as long as you have a bunch of guys that are good and know what their job is. I think the best way to play is the way you and the guy repairing your tank did.
Now I am not saying it\'s the best strategy although it is good, but you guys communicated and played as a team. If you run out there like an idiot against 2-3 guys ur just asking for trouble. I think the hardest part is to have people realise that. You get a couple of people that know how to communicate and you will dominate.
I played the beta for about 15 mins. I think the map I was in needed tweeking. At my respawn point, I would die with 10 seconds of being spawned. I\'m not a terrible FPS player; there were just so many people waiting to pick me off right when I spawned. And not to forget an enemy tank right next to the spawn point. Maybe it was just the map I was in, maybe just the game, but regardless, my experience wasn\'t that great…
Oh and the controls!
I hoped there would be a preset similar to call of duty\'s controls or at least have an option to completely customize the control configuration. Neither were present. Adapting isn\'t too hard, but it does take a few rounds, especially if you played a 50+ hours in another FPS with different controls like I have.
