Good spot there CHEETO.
Shame there wasn't more!! The character in the PS3 footage looked nicely rendered though.

Thanks mate, I agree on the part where the character been rendered nicely, but I think it might have been just a cut scene! I guess we just have to wait and see …

Thursday June 16 ….. the following is taking directly from BF3 website.
"This Thursday night (June 16), Battlefield 3 will be appearing on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, but more importantly, we’ll be playing the game on the PlayStation 3. That’s right! We’ll be giving you the world premiere of Battlefield 3 on consoles this Thursday night when DICE’s Johan Dohl takes the stage and gives Jimmy the first crack at Battlefield 3 for the PlayStation 3. Game looks like it's ready to knock MW3 off the map (not that it will), but I'm not sure I'd expect much noticeable difference between anything other then Console v. PC.
360 v PS3 graphical comparisons are minimal at best. Controller preference? I think that holds more water then graphical difference.

I couldn't agree more myk26. Its all about the controller. However, there has been some info release by a DICE employee about the PS3 and the Xbox 360 versions.
Christina Ann Coffin, Frostbite Engine Code of DICE, said through Twitter that Battlefield 3’s PS3 version is expected to become better than Xbox 360’s version although she never really differentiated the two.
“Not done until we ship, a bit early to make fair comparisons between the two but ps3 has a lead by offloading gpu w/ SPU,”
Personally I was a little dissapointed after watching the demo, but DICE General Manager KM Troedsson pointed out that what we saw was pre-alpha build, so we should expect it to look even better at launch.
For your sake, I hope it's noticeable…
But fact is we've heard this HUNDREDS of times this gen. One console will be lead in developing, but once it gets released the differences are minuscule even to the trained eye.
@myk26 I always hate the comparisons too. Personally I could care less if one console has a better depth of field, or the textures on a rock render better, or the shadows are just a little more vivid. I'm moving around and shooting constantly. The game will still look fine to me.
If there is one thing I hate about some other sites are the stupid system vs system posts they do, and when you have to ZOOM IN to a screen shot to point it out….it's useless. As long as they play well on both systems and offer the same experience.
