So it looks like Dark Souls still wont support chat. I really wanted it badly with the release of Demons Souls but in the end it made sense to keep the ambiance of the game chat was not put in it. Apparently according to g4tv you can not post signs as you could in the past game. You will simply enable or disable online allowing players to come in and invade or help you at random. Friends list has also been disabled so no invites. curious if this is a deal breaker for you guys??? Here are some screens from multiplayer

I've seen the messages on previews, I think they're still there.
I also wish we had chat and no friends lists is a rather odd choice, but I guess it really is something that would alter the immersion and atmosphere of the game.
One of the things I enjoyed most of Demon's Souls was the loneliness, being invade or even getting help from a blue phantom felt like I was just lost in this haunted tower (Latria Tower gave me chills) with no one to help me around.
Ah demon souls the memories of getting killed over and over again… oh joy … good thing I'm getting Dark Souls time for another solitary journey to damnation or salvation :P

No not messages Pedro signs. Blue souls signs. ugg Messages are there but you can no longer post a sign to be summoned you simply open the world to allow people to appear at fires and what not. This is according to g4tv who have a huge preview from E3 Demo gameplay. Apparently it was on the floor at E3 2011….
Still enough time for changes to be made to the game for the US release. Looking forward to it. Pre-ordering over the weekend (I KNOW I said I wouldn't buy any games until december… but CE are the exception to the rule if it's only 1 or 2 a month!).

That kind of sucks, I really enjoyed the signs, but I think they might use something similar though… what I'm really interested to know if there's going to be more loot. It was the one thing I never really got excited about with Demon's Souls, I didn't feel like there was a decent scaling of weapons and armor and in the end you didn't have much to choose from.
