I've had the game laying around for a while and i had left it on the backburner while i got through other games. I did play it when i got it, but the different between it and the last mgs game that i played with was mgs 2 on the ps2 was so much for me that i just hated the game and move on to other ones. The main problem was the rader, i was used to a detialed map where i could see the buildings and bascilly steath my way about by using that for refence and the whole soild eye thing just purplexed me, i remember that it took me ages to get through the first section i was spotted all the time and i must of only played 5 mins of south america and gave up back then.
I brought mgs 1 from the psn store recently and i thought that i would give mgs 4 another go but this time i would lern how to use the equiment propaly and i am being as stealthy as possible, trying to not been seen by anyone. I am differnetly enjoying the game a lot more now, i finally get the soldeye and for me now this is the best metal gear game ever. I can't wait for metal gear rising. I am in eastern eurpoe in the game now and i have just watched that mind blowing fmv with raidien, the mini metal gear things and vamp omg how epic was that i love the breakdaning parts!
I'll get back to this game one day :)
Hopefully one of these days I will find my MGS4 so I can finally give MGO a go.
This game is the reason I bought a PS3. I have been in love with the MGS series ever since I played the first one more than 10 years ago! When you return to Shadow Moses island, that to me is one of the best moments in gaming. You feel the same nostalgia that Snake feels. As someone mentioned earlier, the part towards the end where Snake is crawling through the microwaves is one of the most epic moments in a video game I have ever seen. lol In case you couldn't tell, I'm a huge mark for MGS.
