Okay guys so you have heard from Sony that there is officially a Special and Survivor Edition for the game and there are multiple incentives for pre-ordering the game. The only down side is that Europe gets the Special and Survivor Editions. Supposedly its their exclusive. I am not sure how many of you guys are hardcore Resistance fans, but I am. And I live in North America. I have to go ahead and pre-order the game from every store, and actually buy it from each store as well, just to get all the pre-order incentives. But its not mainly about those. Its about what else comes with those editions.
RESISTANCE 3 SURVIVOR EDITION
Now last, but by no means least, we have the Resistance 3
Survivor Edition! This uber-bundle comes complete with the following content
(as well as the Special Edition pack listed above):
Capelli’s rugged and reliable satchel, ideal for long
journeys across the ravaged American landscape.
Chimera firing range target
Know your enemy; perfect your aim or take out your
frustrations on this life-size Chimera target poster.
“Fight for Freedom” toy
Play out the battle on a small scale with these toy
soldiers depicting Joseph Capelli and Chimera fighters.
Joseph Capelli’s Journal
Read Capelli’s notes on the journey ahead of him, the
enemies he’ll face and the weapons he’ll use – and start writing your own story
as you fight the Chimera.
SRPA hip flask
Keep the cold at bay or give yourself the courage to
fight on with this standard issue SRPA soldier’s hip flask.
SRPA playing cards
Pass the time between battles with this deck of SRPA
soldier’s playing cards.
Now that is a lot of stuff that is basically hands off to all of us in North America. And also the game its self includes all of the North American pre-order incentives, in the disc, except for the multiplayer level 5 head start. Now that is also unfair. Sure they pay a little more, but in the end we don't know if all these items will be available for PSN downloads. THE Wraith that came with the collectors edition was never up for sale on PSN store.
So, for those who say that the Special and Survivor Edition should be available in both Europe and North America, please leave your feedback and help us out.
I don't disagree by any means - I want as much of that as I can get.
As I recall, when pre-orders were first being taken for R2... Only the game was first available. It wasn't until a month or two before release that the special editions were identified. I changed my pre-order when that happened.
Right now, I'm expecting a similar scenario - with hopes it will be announced in the next 30 to 60 days.
Yeah, I totally agree. I'm not only a really big fan of the series but I'm also a person that gets the special, limited, deluxe, or collectors editions of anything I buy, so I'd appreciate at least an opportunity to buy it. Think it over Sony
I totally agree
I want it bad. Give it to me Sony. GIVE IT TO ME!!!!
Well yea I'd love to support this, but where? You guys need a real petition site or something. You can't just a topic on a game forum. Give me a link to a page and I'm signed
I just disliked someones comment by accident. Too be completely honest I wanted to get a petition started, but I was unsure as to how, I will see what I can do and get it up.
I think the guys at the blog Cast will bring this subject up during this week episode. Make sure you tune in and support the cast on itunes, hopefully a very connected someone somewhere will be listening to the blog cast and your voices will reach Sony ... Don't underestimate the power of one forum post, I fully support you and I am sure others will.
I'm from north america (neither u.s. or canada, MEXICO!) and I'm a true fan to the series, so yes! I'd like to be able to buy the special edition, and of course the survivor edition!!! come on S.C.E.A.!!! there are plenty of fans outside the U.S., canada and europe, you will get a surprise if you could sell us the special editions, in about half a month they would be SOLD OUT!!!!
I really want the special edition D: D;
