Devkit in Europe is €1,900. Just for comparison, the PSP was €15,000.

Silent Hill: Book of Memories

http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/silent-hill-bom-gc-01.jpg

Konami showed off Silent Hill: Book of Memories during its Gamescom press conference this morning, revealing it to be a multiplayer action game (we expected that part) with a top-down or isometric perspective.

If you look closely, you'll notice that series stars Harry, Maria and James now exist in the same game! Of course, Konami is wisely opting to spin Book of Memories off into its own, completely unrelated story. You'll also be able to create your own protagonist, further distancing yourself from the sanctity of Silent Hill canon.

Book of Memories features melee combat, guns and what appears to be a smattering of RPG elements.

Huh, action take on Silent Hill? So basically it's Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light with a SH skin? Interesting.

More games like Alien Spidy, Gravity Rush and Escape Plan would get me to buy a Vita.

UI is looking better and better. Especially the trophy page. 3Ds UI is atrocious.

Weird since I do like the UI on the 3DS as it's a huge improvement over the DSi. Wonder how much the Vita's UI will change from now till launch in Japan? At least it's something that can change with a firmware update.

3DS's UI is basic, plain, slow and really hard to find anything you need. Don't even get me started on the store...

Vita's is very smartphone/android similar, vibrant, upbeat, responsive.

With that said...not a big fan of the bubble area which is part of the live mode. I do like the index mode though and especially the other areas of the live mode. The trophy page is better than the PS3's.

oh and you better get use to these screens lol…many of them are coming to the PS3 lol.

Oh and the very center screen in the navigation table up top will change depending on what game you have booted up. Its like a launching area for the game with some other stuff to do.
