Quotelet user be able to donate to get vip throughout the site let them earn more points like x2 and have vip only giveaways :D
Interesting idea. I'll think about it. But there are groups for those with 10K, 25K and soon 50K points. If anything I'd probably have exclusive giveaways to those groups. There is an option to donate money to earn points, but not sure if I want to go that route ..
That is a pretty interesting idea. That's how it's done on ps3trophies.com. Seems to be working pretty well for them. However, I'm not so sure this site really needs it. I kind of like this system better. There's still a pretty good chance I'd toss over 10 bucks; this just my opinion.
I don't believe x2 points would be very either. But, maybe like, every 10th post, they get double points. Or, they get double points for posting multiple times. Or, if they do something considerate create an amazing thread just give them 100 bonus points or something.
This site already has a lot to offer.

We would need to lock in the system so you would only be able to buy X amount of points per month or something and that would be a royal pain. Maybe tie it up to a insite store (different from our Amazon one) so you can add it to a cart and pay with paypal and the system would restrict you to 1 purchase per month or something.
