How did you come across PS3Blog.net?

What made you decide to stay and hang around?

Here is how I found PS3Blog.net

In summer of 2005 I already decided that I must have a PS3. So I went in search of PS3 Blogs and news site to stay up to date on all the latest info. I found 1 – 6 sites at the time to put on my iGoogle home page. Over the course of the next couple weeks. PS3Blog.net earned the top middle spot on my home page. I just liked the community here more. Site was more personal than Joystiq and all the other big sites. I liked that the site was a global site, we have writers from all over the world. Even most of the giveaways are global giveaways. Which is very rare for websites.

I first started to post news for the blog on January 12th, 2007. From the start I liked to give things away, and I still do that. I took over management of the site on May 11th, 2009. I’ve tried to improve and get the community more involved when I took over and we have brought on a lot more writer and regular members in the process. I’m proud of what PS3Blog.net has become and excited for it’s future.

I found PS3Blog.net through Facebook, liked you guys on there and then popped over to the site to create an account.

I’ve stuck around because I enjoy the articles, and gaming with the staff and other members! Hope to stick around and write stuff over the coming years.

Well, when I had just bought my PS3 I was looking for PS3 related blogs about news/reviews to catch up on the games I had missed since the console launch… and was also looking for PS3 trophies sites (love how I can track how much I played a game with the trophies I obtained). I found and stuck with ps3trophies.org and did the same with PS3blog.net. Been here for a while and have even managed to make myself useful!

I’m probably among the early followers of the site, and I found the site while googling for ps3 news. It was really nice seeing the website evolve, as time went more people joined in, both as readers and contributers, and the site is improving on a daily basis. And it has got to be the most generous websites of all time!

I found this site through google I believe and I just watched the site but as the content grew and the urge to comment I signed up with even today no regrets. I come on everyday as new content, help, news, giveaways, and cool topics pop up on this site. I’m pleased with everything here and is one of the most generous sites I’ve seen so that is why I continue to come on everyday.

I first found the site looking for a PS Store update before it went live. I found Jay’s post, joined live chat, and was hooked. Might have been the beard? lol

I was looking for some stuff regarding my PS3. Went to bunch a sites. Find this one and well basically just decided to stick around. Now we can have epic adventures with Jay and Tosh on their adventure to the Dark Underworld. Whatever that means.

Well…I’ve successfully avoided everything Sony for quite a while until just last Christmas. Ended up with the 320gb model…

…then knowing Eddie from another forum, he has help introduce me to this Sony world. Which, in turn, lead to my presence here.

Pretty much my only source of anything PS3…

I found the site from the pr rep’s tweets who was involved with Two worlds 2. I stayed because everybody here is what a community should consist of. Friendly.

Eddie pointed out PS3Blog.net to me.

I stuck around because PS3 is my favorite system and I found this site to be very informative and helpful when making decisions regarding my gaming purchases.

I bought SDvsR 2011 because of Jay’s review of the game. I bought Shatter because Eddie randomly mentioned it in a post.

Oh and free sh^t doesn’t hurt either! :D

I found it looking for a decent source of PS3 news. At the time, it wasn’t nearly as active as it is now (I started visiting back in 2005 or 2006), and had to do all of my comments as a guest because registration was shut off due to spam lol.

Once registration opened back up, I registered, and Tosh had also opened it up to anyone willing to write for us, so I signed up with that, too, and have been writing and commenting (and making a lot of different images and stuff for the site) since.

Sooner or later, I wound up becoming one of the established writers and got an official spot on the staff. Today, I am the community manager on the site, and I try to help anyone in need of it (may it be pointers, how to do something, etc) or reach out to you guys for things you’d like to see, etc.

We don’t get paid or anything, but the reason I stick around is because of the community. It’s the best online community I’ve ever been a part of. It may not be the biggest, but I would take quality over quantity any day.

EDIT: Oh, and my beard thanks you guys for falling for its hypnotic spell :P

Bought my “fat” (yet cuddly) PS3 as soon as it came out in the UK and needed somewhere for information – PS3Blog.net was it.

I’m not massively involved in all of the sites many functions as I have a bad work/life balance, but mainly use it as a daily digest/reference to see what’s going on and people’s opinions of that information.

Keep up the good work people! ;o)
