We have members across the globe. Tell us where your from & a little about you in this topic. Then tell us how you found PS3Blog.net here.
I came across ps3blog.net after I punched “I hate LittleBigPlanet” into Google. A blog post by Gary (http://www.ps3blog.net/author/gary/ someone who hasn’t posted here since April of last year) detailing how he hated LBP is what attracted me (the original post from Nov. 24, 2008, is here: http://www.ps3blog.net/2008/11/24/why-i-hate-littlebigplanet/).
I noticed that pretty much anyone could write here. Being a wannabe blogger myself, I decided to register and start posting.
I’ve enjoyed my time here a lot, and hope to continue being a part of ps3blog in the future.
Hmm found the site on google when i got my PS3 last year just looking for news on it. Stayed cause of Jay’s beard, Nintendo fan-boy eden, and umm Olys wife
I found the site when i googled “Ps3blog” but i forgot to put a space in between and i clicked the first link like i usually do to get onto the official playstation blog. I stayed because of the great news i wasn’t really getting anywhere else and the hilarious conversations going on in the live chat
I found this blog because one of my employees is a writer on here and finally convinced me to give up PC gaming to go to Console gaming. I really enjoy the articles, which help a relaive new comer to the PS console gaming world figure out what’s what and what looks like fun and what I should avoid…oh, and the ocntests and giveaways don’t hurt either!
I searched for a review of a few games and found this site. What kept me hooked was the contests. As soon as I learned this was one of the few sites I found that gave away stuff to their users I always come here for reviews and just an overall good time.
After acquiring my PS3 I went looking for some decent PS3 blogs to keep up with the new and upcoming titles and this is certainly the best I found.
I entered the community for the Two Worlds II contest.
And I agree with Beastxjason, I stayed because everybody here’s is very friendly and helpful and there are no trolls roaming around to trash your every thought.
After coming across you guys from a friend on twitter I have been following you for awhile now. I stay following you guys cause of your great articles, friendly peeps, and have the best giveaways!..Happy 6 and here’s to another 6 years .!
I found you guys through Google looking for examples of good PS3 sites as I was going to attempt to start my own PS3 blog, I’m still deciding on this too. I’ve decided to join this community here because the staff is so kind and overall they seem like they work hard and are always around to help and update the site. I thought it’d be hard to compete with this! So, I’ve postponed my blog while I debate on what I’m going to do. Thanks for the hard work, keep it up guys! Welcome to all the newcomers!
I found the site a few years back when I was searching for a list of the PSN weekly updates. I found Jay’s excellent compilation of these (keep at it, Jay!). I hung around as it’s a friendly place of like-minded individuals. It’s not a corporate mouthpiece, like the official blog, nor a haven for angsty teen h4xx0rs, like, well, another popular ps3 blog. anyway, great people, great articles. great job, guys!
When i bought my PS3 i started searching for different blogs and i found about 5, that’s how i found you…
how i decided to stay and hang around? becouse you were the best one of those 5 blogs!
(sorry if my english is not too good)
I found the site after watching Toshs’ Kung Fu live review on youtube, ever since then I’ve been on the site daily. love the game nights, forum and sense of community on the site.
I don’t really remember how i found the site, but i know i followed it a long time directly via an RSS feed rather then visiting the site itself. Then i started being more implicated, and joined the site when they put the point system in, and started having interesting contests. I also then wanted to be even more implicated and was, for a very short time. I afterwards went back to a simple visitor, as time was lacking with my second baby and the new job promotion.
I’ll add this to the OP as well. But here is how I found PS3Blog.net
In summer of 2005 I already decided that I must have a PS3. So I went in search of PS3 Blogs and news site to stay up to date on all the latest info. I found 1 – 6 sites at the time to put on my iGoogle home page. Over the course of the next couple weeks. PS3Blog.net earned the top middle spot on my home page. I just liked the community here more. Site was more personal than Joystiq and all the other big sites. I liked that the site was a global site, we have writers from all over the world. Even most of the giveaways are global giveaways. Which is very rare for websites.
I first started to post news for the blog on January 12th, 2007. From the start I liked to give things away, and I still do that. I took over management of the site on May 11th, 2009. I’ve tried to improve and get the community more involved when I took over and we have brought on a lot more writer and regular members in the process. I’m proud of what PS3Blog.net has become and excited for it’s future.
Yeah I’m pretty much like everyone else. I searched for PS3 blogs and found this one. I found the “official” Playstation blog first, but it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, so kudos to you all for being it!
Earlier today I jumped into a game of operations in KIllzone 3 and started talking to Tosh and some dudes and whaddya know…it’s game night! They told me to check out the site and I’m glad I did…I like it here.
