Jailer: Inmate hid 30 items in rectum

SARASOTA COUNTY – A homeless man went to court and was arrested on Friday, but the notable part of the story is what he had hidden in his rectum as he stood before the judge.

The judge sent Neil Lansing to jail, where corrections deputies conducting a routine search in a cellblock found part of a condom sticking out of his rectum, the sheriff’s office said.

According to sheriff’s officials, the condom contained: 17 round blue pills, one cigarette, six matches, one flint, one empty syringe with an eraser over the needle, one lip balm container, one additional unused condom, a receipt from CVS pharmacy and a paper coupon.

Lansing, 33, now faces charges he possessed a drug and a tobacco product inside the Sarasota County jail.

He is being held there without bail.

‘Baby Gaga’ breast milk ice cream removed from shop
Ice cream being tested amid concerns it may be unsafe

LONDON — Local government officials have confiscated ice cream made with human breast milk from a London shop amid concerns the dessert is unsafe.
A spokeswoman from Westminster City Council said Monday it was responding to two complaints from the public over whether a shop should be selling edibles made from other people’s bodily fluids and awaiting guidance from Britain’s Food Standards Agency. The official spoke on condition of anonymity in keeping with council policy.
The official said the ice cream, marketed as “Baby Gaga” and launched last week, is being tested with the full cooperation of The Icecreamists, the parlor marketing the dessert.
Viruses, including hepatitis, can be passed on through breast milk.

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman in Zephryhills, but added more charges after a strip search at the Land O’ Lakes Jail.

Sherese Hutchinson was a passenger in a car stopped by deputies on State Road 54.

During the traffic stop, authorities said, she appeared nervous and would not sit still. Hutchinson gave deputies false identification, and during a search of her purse they found a bag with trace amounts of methamphetamine.

After she was arrested and brought to the jail, Hutchinson revealed several more bags of meth hidden in her bra. She also had three syringes in her vagina and anus. Also found in the woman’s vagina, a ball of tin foil and a spoon. The items were placed into evidence.

A strange scene unfolded in Espanola Tuesday after a man delivered a decomposing body to an emergency room.

Police say Jerry Maestas, 64, drove up to an Espanola hospital with the body of May Marquez, 33, propped up in the passenger seat of a vehicle.

Maestas then asked the hospital staff to come out and help his friend who was sick but when hospital employees came closer to the car, it was clear the woman had been dead for awhile.

“They found some early stages of decomposition …. and also the smell they detected when they walked up the vehicle,” explained Jeremy Apodaca with the Espanola Police Department.

Police estimate Marquez may have been dead for 24 to 36 hours. There’s still no word on the exact cause of her death.

Meanwhile, Maestas will be charged with failing to report a death.
