Hi there, I’m a bit ashamed of saying this but in total I’ve only seen two of the Studio Ghibli movies (Spirited Away/Howls Moving Castle) and I want to rectify this. I know of loads of Ghibli movies from Nausicaa to Ponyo but don’t really know which one I should check out.

I’ve got my parents going away for a week in October so I want me and my girlfriend to watch at least one or two more Ghibli films so what would you guys recomend for us aside from Spirited and Howls?

@jcmoorehead I’d go with Totoro for sure and one of these 2:

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (more of a serious movie but very good, my favorite)
Castle in the Sky

So many good ones, but start with those and report back.

Thanks, I’ll make sure we check them out. I think we’ll probably go for Nausicaa as I think I have that here somewhere plus I’m sure the guy who created my favourite series (Neon Genesis Evangelion) worked on it too.

So, no love for Ponyo or Kiki’s Delivery Service?

I really like Ponyo, but it’s hard to pick just 2 to start out on. Kiki is ok. Not one of my favs.
