I”m miffed that Black Ops doesn’t support dual PSN accounts in split screen. View
  • In an effort to appear like they’re not one step behind Sony, Microsoft is not going to be naming their next-gen, hi-def supporting, Xbox the “Xbox 2″. “Xbox Next” is too much of a tongue twister and “Xbox Xenon” […]

  • Borderlands is in my top five list of favourite games ever. Let’s hope they fix the multiplayer chat in Borderlands 2. In the original Borderlands it was severely broken – there were many complaints on their […]

  • I’m with Tucker on this one. I’ve used Visual Studio extensively, and it’s decent. There’s nothing wrong with C#. I’ve used that too. To claim Java is better is fanboy nonsense. I’ve used Java too. (I’ve also used Eclipse extensively, which I utterly despise, but to each their own.) I now use Objective C and [...]

  • I’m a huge fan of the top-down fantasy RPG genre made popular on the PS2 by the Baldur’s Gate and Champions of Norrath games. There were two in each series, and I’ve played the all. I’ve actually played through Champions of Norrath several times, and I still hold that game as the pinnacle of the [...]

  • If you look at the killfeed, it actually shows an AC130 is responsible for the kill.

  • Um, so which of these killstreaks was the one at the end of the Spec Ops video?

  • I’m one of those people who has to run low killstreaks because of my lack of talent. I never use high killstreaks just because I never get enough kills. And I still think that killstreaks haven’t ruined the game. They’re fun!

  • Compression of a digital signal which is already compressed (which most digital signals are) would require uncompressing and then recompressing the signal as at a lower bit rate. That’s not gonna happen in a passive device like a cable. Unless you’re talking about a different kind of compression?

  • I prefer to buy my HDMI cables from Monoprice. It doesn’t have this new-fangled skinny technology, but the cables are high quality and inexpensive.

  • I don’t know why people are saying BF3 > MW3. We have seen so little from either game, it’s too soon to call. What you’re expressing is your WISH that BF3 > MW3. Personally, I think that both will end up being good games, and that each will cater to gamers looking for different experiences. [...]

  • Ace: you know those are from a PC, right? Everyone likes different types of games and frankly starting a pissing match between Battefield and CoD gamers is immature. If you don’t like CoD then fine, don’t play it. But don’t try to tell me Battlefield is a better game. It’s better FOR YOU. I’ve tried [...]

  • Jason: there are no elite guns and perks. Nothing of this sort has been announced, and I even found one place that denied elite guns (http://is.gd/ktzFIl). Where do you get your info, dude?

  • Legion213: your definition of what does and does not work seems a bit off. If people are paying for it, it’s working. I don’t care if there’s a service out there that some want to pay for. I will choose not to, but that doesn’t mean others can’t. Should we now start poo-poo-ing everyone’s decisions [...]

  • I liked the video too.

  • What Elite guns and perks?

  • Remember guys, this is a capitalist market at work. If people want it, they’ll buy it and it’ll thrive. If not, it’ll die a slow death. Ever wonder why the website for Killzone 2 was so awesome, but the Killzone 3 website had a lot less? I’m guessing it was because it wasn’t worth the [...]

  • @fourzerotwo has tweeted that you don’t need to be an ELITE member to download the DLC.

Activision has said they’ll charge up to $8. Which is way too much.

  • I never liked the in-game music and turned it off. Sound in general in this game is quite terrible. We always have to turn the volume down when we stick this game in the machine.

How’s the four player split-screen support? Do you have access to perks and everything?

  • And no matter what kind of hardware competitors put out there, they still won’t be able to compete where it counts – software. At least, not for the foreseeable future.

  • Not only have I had PSN downtime recently but I’ve also had PS3 downtime. My PS3 YLOD’d on me while playing some split-screen co-op KZ3 with a friend. It was a launch-day 60GB PS3 that’s finally given up the ghost. I went to Walmart today and picked up a new PS3. It’s so QUIET! Ahhh….. [...]
