This is really a gem of a game. The battle system is fairly simple, but the story and characters have such charm. This game is really super relaxing and enjoyable to play.

Why did Bioshock 2 get snubbed? Not even a mention?
Bioshock 1 had a brilliant premise and theme, but the action mechanics were really generic.

Steam isn’t pushing anyone to Linux. If anything iOS/Android cracking the Microsoft chokehold and making platform neutrality actually important was the major factor.

the game looks awesome. I just don’t want steam and I hope awesome linux games like this don’t force Steam on their users.

This is /not/ a PlayStation exclusive. It’s initially targeting Windows/Mac/Linux (native Linux, nice!!). This game looks pretty creative and interesting! The official site is here.

The spirit of Linux is free as in speech liberty. Steam is the complete antithesis of that: it’s a completely proprietary, closed source platform about DRM locking other people’s software.

Darrin commented on the post, NIS America has announced 3 new PS3 games for 2013 3 months, 3 weeks ago
I’m disappointed they aren’t targeting the Vita. NIS has a reputation for a very niche type of super grindy game and I’d rather play those on a handheld. I’ll give Legasista a try on the PS3 if you say it’s that […]

The whole point of proprietary storage is to offer less space for more money. It’s bad for users, but good for Sony. 360 did the same thing with proprietary hard drives and there was no major blowback.
Do you […]

@premiersoupir, oh, the Vita itself! of course! Good point. They can do Android/Vita or Android/PS3 games just like they have recently made bid budget Windows/PS3 (DCUO) and Windows exclusive (PlanetSide 2) games.

Also, the SD issue is a valid gripe, but I don’t think that had a major impact on the overall outcome of the Vita so far. I have other gripes; the screen which is highly scratchable and is made from cheaper […]

@premiersoupir, thanks! What is Sony’s own mobile platform? PlayStation Mobile? That’s not a full hardware platform, it’s a dev framework for least-common-denominator Vita/PS3/Android support. That whole product […]

From computerandvideogames.com:
Experiments within Sony’s R&D department are thought to have been extensive. Versions of the new PS4 pad include biometric sensors on the grips and an LCD touch screen, the […]

@wolfkin, people typically choose their laptops & tablets for productivity reasons first and then use them for games as an afterthought. This post focused on non-gaming workstation type advantages of Linux over […]

The “common person” should probably use an iOS/Android tablet for strictly consumer activities. Ubuntu Linux is at least as easy as Windows for web browsing, instant messaging, playing music, and basic log in, […]

A lot of rumors and talk have been swirling about bringing serious, high-end gaming to desktop Linux (Ubuntu, RedHat, etc). This is amazing.
For many developers and tech users, Linux is such a dramatically […]

Obviously, this isn’t a traditional R&C game. Even most die hard fans from the PS2 era were eager to see Insomniac do something a little different. The standard linear action game has really fallen out of favor […]
