A small group of us were in New Orleans during Spring Break of 2007. We were cleaning out this lady’s shed and there was a deep freeze that had been sitting back there (unplugged and full of food) ever since the hurricane hit. We had to move it out to the curb so the trash guys could take it, but we didn’t want it to open since it was full of nasty, rotten food, so we used to duct tape to try and keep the top closed. Sure enough, when we went to move it, it popped open and all of this rotten food and nasty black water came pouring out. The smell was so incredibly horrid. One of the guys in our group threw up. Everyone in the neighborhood could smell it.

All that to say I have my shirt over my face in that pic because I was trying not to smell the nasty rotten food water, and I had that hammer because we were boarding up the shed, so we still had to work back there with that horrible, horrible smell.
