[Vita Review] Furmins

Lead the Furmins through over 100 ingeniously designed and visually stunning levels. Furmins provides hours of brain-twisting fun for fans of physics-based puzzle games.

Guide all the Furmins to the basket (level exit) by re-arranging a variety of items and using bumpers with well-timed precision. Wisely place items to create pathways and physical chain reactions which help the Furmins reach their goal while earning Star points to unlock new Levels.

Furmins is a puzzle game from developer Housemarque, who has also released gems like Super Stardust HD (one of my all-time favorite arcade game), Dead Nation and Outland. This game had been released last year on iOS platforms and has since been released on the PS3 and Vita systems.

At its core, Furmins is a puzzle game in which your goal is to bring the Furmins (Lemming-like creatures) to the goal. If you played the early PSN game Elefunk, you’ll feel right at home in Furmins!

[minis Review] Jetpack Joyride

Jetpack Joyride Review

Down on his luck as a struggling gramophone salesman, Barry comes across the “secret” laboratory of Legitimate Research, a corporation dedicated to developing crazy new technologies. Seizing the chance to become a hero, Barry begins his ride after commandeering a jetpack and making good his escape, where the player jumps in and guides his adventure with accessible one-touch gameplay.

Along the way, players must avoid lasers, missiles and electro zappers, all the while grabbing coins and trying out even more ridiculous vehicles – Lil’ Stomper, Profit Bird and the robot dragon himself, Mr. Cuddles!

Supporting the action is a robust Stash system, where everyone can track their progress, upgrade their gear and buy new gadgets for Barry. Grab one of many jetpacks including the classic Machine Gun Jetpack or the colorful Rainbow, suit up in a vast wardrobe of unique costumes and make sure Barry’s best friend Flash comes along for the ride!

[minis Review] BreakQuest: Extra Evolution

“BreakQuest: Extra Evolution is an enhanced and improved version of original BreakQuest, one of the best break-out games of all times, created by Nurium games. In addition to the energizing gameplay of its predecessor, the game boasts a superior physics concept, new art style and cool sound. Breaking bricks has never been so fun!”

What is it?:
It is a brick breaker game that does not have too many actual bricks. I really enjoy playing most brick games, going all the way back to Arkanoid. The menu design is straightforward. Play Game and Options can be selected from the main menu. Play Game will present you with 10 different starting stages, each stage has 9 levels, plus 1 boss level. You must finish each level to progress through the stage. It’s a very simple, and straightforward layout for level selection.
