The sequel to Dead Island has now been fully revealed by Deep Silver, and I’m sure all Dead Island fans will be thrilled to know that their characters from the first game can be imported into the sequel! Not only that, but you’ll also be able to pick a 5th character that will bring new abilities to the table.
Dead Island, a game we like, is getting a Game of the Year Edition. What will be included in this new package? You’ll get the game, the Ryder White and Bloodbath Arena playable DLC AND The Ripper Weapon DLC, all for the low, low price of $29.99! If, for some reason, you haven’t bought Dead Island (3 million copies sold and rising), then now is the moment to pre-order your copy and let the blood flow! Dead Island GOTY will be released on June 26, so keep your calendars marked!
Our favorite PR Lady over at Deep Silver sent over some game-play videos for Risen 2: Dark Waters. Check out all 4 below!
Video #1 – The Pirate’s Den:
Patty meets up with her estranged Pirate Father, Captain Steelbeard, and the Nameless Hero provokes fights in the Pirate’s Den.
A world in chaos and a war that seems to be almost lost. Monsters have risen from the sea and the titans have ravaged the world, endangering all that live. But there is still hope: one man, a nameless hero, takes it upon himself to save the world. Only the fearless pirates seem to know a way to deal with these beasts from the deep. Will he succeed in obtaining their secret artefact?

Risen 2 was a pleasant surprise. Gone are the select a class aspects, such as Mage or warrior. You are, instead, given the opportunity to spend your hard earned exp on skills to shape your character leaving many doors of possibility open to shape your pirate how you see fit.
The game is gorgeous. Textures are spot on and the lush landscapes of the open world are breathtaking. So much so that my PC begged for an upgrade. The game’s main draw will be its combat. This isn’t your simple hack and slash. Human opponents will have you parrying and countering, so those who run in expecting to hack and slash will get owned very quickly. Some of the encounters can become drawn out, but as a fan of Demons Souls, I didn’t mind one bit. I can see the future battles becoming more and more satisfying with every win. Here’s a look at Combat from the beta.
