[Review] Mercury Hg

I fell in love with this game from the moment I first turned it on. I really don’t recall ever seeing such a lovely menu anywhere else in my life. Of course, no game is made of menus, but I honestly spent about 10 minutes just admiring such fine work. It’s clean, simple, gorgeous, very white, and full of mysteries; it kind of reminded me of my girlfriend, without all the tattoos, that is. Anyway, I don’t know what kind of genre this game fits into. I don’t care really, but if I had to choose, it would be something like a “rotational racer platforming puzzler” (whatever that is) and you should get it now if you like that. It’s really good, seriously, go.

Now you have a couple minutes to keep reading this review while you wait for the download to finish, which shouldn’t take long surprisingly; the game is only about one hundred megabytes. It’s hard to describe a game that feels like this, I’m not that great of a writer and I’m certainly no poet, but I swear I’ll try my best. Starting with the basics, like any fine woman, you’ll look at her face first. If she’s beautiful, you’ll then worry about the rest, and let me tell you, this game looks amazing. Nice textures, colorful environments (to be 100% honest, it could use a little more anti aliasing on some corners, but that’s about it), effects are fitting, and the design work is perfect. Everything is accurately placed to make your immersion a one way road, and it won’t be interrupted by loading times, because there are none. This game is like that one girl on the other side of the bar you can’t take your eyes from.
