PlayStation Store US/EU Update for January 18/19

Highlights
It’s been a heck of a while since we last did one of these properly. With that said, I have decided to drop the HK and JP stores and focus mainly on the US and EU updates. I’ve also overhauled the appearance of the posts, including small banners similar to the Weekly Recap.

This is no longer a cut and paste job like we used to do in the past. After all, the source we used to use changed their layout on both regions, with completely different looks and I wanted something more organized.

Anyway, what are the highlights this week? Well, in the US, Mass Effect 2 is available for download. If you’ve never played the first one, if ME2 is anything like it, you’re in for a treat. I just wish I had a working PS3 at the moment . Modern Combat: Domination and Spare parts is available for download as well.

If you like sales, the EU store has a bunch of them. The US has a couple as well, but not on the sale of the other one. If you’re into DLC, Mass Effect has a collection of that, which consists of the DLC not included in the game. Other than that, it’s just your standard fare of content, but I will say the EU’s Leviathan dynamic themes sound pretty neat…

Highlights
Alright, another late one! Last time I did this was back in June. Sorry again folks. As far as this week’s highlights go, if you’re a PS+ member, I definitely recommend the Blast-Off mini. There are actually quite a few minis that are really good, but looking at the poll numbers thus far, people seem to be overwhelmingly ignoring them. Qore was also released, but I’ve yet to check that out (I do have it downloaded, though).

TerRover was released, but has been met with some mediocre reviews due to it’s unforgiving nature (a lot of frustration). There is a demo for that if you want to try it out (as well as 3 other titles). Jimmy’s Vendetta is available for Mafia II, Snoop Dogg has some tracks on Rock Band (wtf?), Witch Hunt DLC for Drag Age: Origins can be purchased, and there’s a decent sized collection of themes and wallpapers available as well. War for Cybertron also has a new character and map pack. There really wasn’t that much this week.

PlayStation Store Global Update 06/20/10

Highlights
There are quite a few dynamic and premium themes (and a few avatars) in the US store this week. As far as new games go, though, there are a couple Minis and Sam and Max Episode 303 released as well (which I will try to review within the week). The Blue Toad Murder Files is also bundled up this week as well.

There’s a big list of Sonic sales going on this week as well, for Sonic’s 19th anniversary. As far as other DLC goes, the new ‘Outlaws to the End’ co-op DLC has been released for Red Dead Redemption, and the new Onslaught co-op mode for Battlefield Bad Company 2 released as well. And, of course, there are the regular releases as well, which include Rock Band, Guitar Hero 5, but also some DLC for Just Cause 2, LBP and MNR.
