Deathspank: The Baconing isn’t your average PSN Title. Its graphics far exceeded my expectations, and some of the features are far from the standard on titles like this. The game is first and foremost a hack and slash, but the most interesting aspect of the game is the over-the-top humor. With that said, my experience with the game had mixed results. Even though it certainly offered me good entertainment, a game breaking glitch (that happened on the 4th “chapter”) prevented me from finishing it, so I took it to heart and gathered enough information to finish writing this.
Okay people of the internet. We have another awesome contest! The publisher, UTV Ignition Entertainment, has given us a pair of codes for their awesome new game Swarm. For those that haven’t heard about the game, you are totally missing out. I, personally, think it’s one of the best PSN games out. We were lucky enough to do a Developer Q & A a few weeks ago, and even Review the game ourselves.
In celebration of the game’s release last week, and the demo which came out yesterday, I would like those that are interested to follow us on Twitter and then play the demo. Once you finish the level, please capture a screenshot of your score and tweet it to us! After you do that, just post your tweet in the comments below. The two with the highest score will get a code for the full game.
You have until Midnight EST this coming Wednesday to get your entry in!
Here is another one of my awesome interviews at PAX East. This one is with Gregan Dunn, the Director of Business Development at Hothead Games. He was kind enough to talk to me about their upcoming game called Swarm. In Swarm you control up to 50 Swarmites as they are called, and bend them to your will. There are a lot of things to do in this game and it actually does take some thought to get an awesome score. I am not sure what my score was when I tried this game after the interview, but it wasn’t any where close to the the 14 million points or even Gregan’s score for that matter. I must admit, even though I played this game for a short time period, I had a lot of fun. Watch the video below and let me know what you think.
When DeathSpank came out on the PSN a few weeks ago, I tried the demo a few moments and immediately bought the game after! I was amazed by both the gameplay and the dialogs, and completed the game (and got all trophies) in under 10 hours. The game was excellent, but a little too short!
I subscribed to HotHead’s newletter (the DeathSpam) and received this email yesterday! A DeathSpank sequel is coming!
