E3 2011: Konami Press Conference [Replay]
The Konami Press Conference turned out to be a pre-recorded video instead of it being live. What we got out of it was some HD collections like Metal Gear Solid 2, 3 & Peace Walker (what no MGS 1?!), Silent Hill, Zone of Enders 1 & 2. Some more info about NeverDead & PES 2012. A new Silent Hill movie called Silent Hill Revelations 3D is in the works.
Kojima came up with a new system called “Transfarring” which transfers saves from your PS3 to the NGP. The Metal Gear Solid & Zone of Enders HD Collections support Transfarring. Konami announced a new game engine called The Fox Engine. No other info about that just yet.

New Patch For Metal Gear Online Incoming

Still playing Metal Gear Solid Online? If so, Konami has released a new patch for the MMO. The update adds adjustments to Drebin Points for weapons, weapon parameters, skill parameters, and skills for unique characters ( i.e Raiden and Vamp ). Player Character movement has been increased overall plus “Idle Kicks” have been implemented for Auto Matching.
Updates for the background music were also added which will include more tracks from Metal Gear Solid titles. The patch will be able to detect fraudulent network connections as well. If I didn’t trade my copy of MGS4 in I’d still be playing MGO on occassion. It’s probably for the best though, since I was pretty terrible at playing the game online.

Kojima Productions tweeted this picture today along with the following text;

which google translates to;
“Return to work. Limited proof of his style ~ Konami sticks to the one page brochure. Now, I have to check the finish.”
So there you have it, a sneak (pun intended) peak at the brochure for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, looks like you can see some metal gears as well as plenty of snake so not much new info but hey, it beats their usual posts about their meals…
