I am a bit disappointed in the news of Level-5 and Studio Ghibli Western release of Ni No Kuni been delayed to 2013. According to publisher Namco Bandai, The game’s American release has been pushed back to 2013, instead of Winter 2012.

Namco Bandai has announced a new release date for the home version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Previously slated for a ‘Holiday 2012′ debut, yesterday during the company’s ‘Global Gamers Day’ event held in Las Vegas Namco revealed a September release window for the fighter.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for the PS3 and 360 will boast 50 characters including exclusive new fighters not found in the arcade version, a new training mode called “Fight Lab” where players can hone their iron fists, as well as Pair Play mode. Pair Play-first introduced in the Arcade version earlier this year-allows for one versus one and one versus two action for those who prefer not to spend time learning two different fighters for the standard tag mode.

For the first time in series history the fifth installment to Namco’s Soul Calibur franchise moves the story forward significantly. Set seventeen years after the events of the fourth game, Soul Calibur V introduces long time fans of the series to a fresh new, younger cast of characters while keeping the right mix of familiar faces around. With this edition of Soul Calibur Project Soul ( the developers behind the series ) took several bold steps with the fighter as an attempt to attract new players but was it enough to keep the soul burning?
The fighting game genre is back, and this year, it’s bigger than ever. With many of the major fighters expected to make a comeback this year, fans of the genre will have a lot to choose from. And many sore fingers.
1: Soul Calibur V
Starting the year off with a bang is Namco Bandai’s Soul Calibur V.The weapon based fighter’s return to the spotlight after a near four year absence paves the way for a big year ahead. Soul Calibur V takes place seventeen years after the fourth installment and introduces a new cast of younger fighters, while playing host to returning favorites.
Keeping up with a tradition that began with Soul Calibur II, the fifth game in the series includes special guest character Ezio Auditore da Firenze from Ubisoft’s acclaimed Assassin’s Creed franchise. Tekken creator, Katsuhiro Harada, also gets in on the fun as a special non-playable character in the game’s Quick Match mode. Namco is promising a better online experience with Soul Calibur V, with an improved netcode to prevent nasty lag issues.
Soul Calibur V is due out in North America on January 31st followed by a February 2nd and 3rd release in Japan and Europe, respectively.
Currently available in Arcade form across Japan and undergoing playtests in parts of North America, Namco Bandai has announced a release date for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for home consoles. The fighter is expected to debut sometime during “Holiday” 2012. Which likely means next November or December. Along with the date Namco also released a spiffy new trailer for the game.
