Sword Art Online -Hollow Fragment- is an RPG from Namco Bandai Games, that follows the first season of the Sword Art Online anime. I purchased it the day it released last year, and played it a lot! Earlier this year, the Official Playstation Blog announced that this game had ranked #1 in the 2014 PS Vita PSN sales, so I decided it was time to review it to let you know what it is all about.
The story of Hollow Fragment takes place right after the events of the first arc of the first season of SAO (without spoiling anything, this is at the 75th floor of the Aincrad). The game was supposed to end there, but due to a glitch, players have been warped to the 76th floor instead of being freed from SAO.
As relayed by Gematsu, Namco Bandai Games has released a Japanese TV Spot for the upcoming Sword Art Online – Lost Song game.
This game is set in the same Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG) universe as Swort Art Online: Hollow Fragment, which was released Internationally last summer.
According to the official PS Blog, Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment was the Vita’s most purchased game of 2014 on the PSN, even though it released in late August!
Namco Bandai Games recently released a trailer for their new upcoming Sword Art Online game, which is subtitled Lost Song.
This game is set in the same Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG) universe as Swort Art Online: Hollow Fragment, which was released Internationally last summer (BTW, it’s a great game! Cool digital gift under your digital Christmas tree and all!).
For the record, Sword Art Online (SAO) is a Japanese anime that aired for two seasons between July 2012 and the end of this year. The original story follows Kirito, a gamer who gets stuck along with 10,000 players in a VRMMORPG. If you are into Japanese anime and haven’t watched SAO yet, you’re really missing out! An English-language version aired on Toonami, and that is a great option for anime fans.
Namco Bandai Games JP has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Tales of Zestiria, the next iteration in the Tales Of series.
This game is also set to release very soon (January 22nd) in Japan for the PS3. A North American and European release is said to come by next summer.
At last E3, after the confirmation that Namco Bandai Games would be localizing Tales of Hearts R this winter in North America and Europe, they uploaded an interview on Youtube in which you can learn a ton of new details on the two incoming Tales games for 2014!
Sword Art Online (SAO) is a Japanese anime that aired in Japan between July and December 2012. The story follows Kirito, a gamer who gets stuck along with 10.000 players in a Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG). If you are into Japanese anime and haven’t watched SAO yet, you’re really missing out! An English-language version aired on Toonami during last July, and that is a great option for anime fans.
EDIT 2014-04-25: This information has finally been officially confirmed!
Remember back at the beginning of January when I wrote about the Japanese only PS Vita game Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment ?
Well, apparently, after Tales of Hearts R announcement, Namco Bandai Games also revealed that this game would reach our North American Vitas (as a digital download)!
Namco Bandai Games just announced that the long-awaited Tales of Hearts R (PS Vita) will be localized and released this winter!
A lot of people (even including some fans from PS3Blog) have been waiting for this announcement for a long time, so this news will please a lot of happy Vita RPG players!
Are you interested in this game? I wasn’t expecting this to get a localization since Namco Bandai had been very silent about it, but now that it has been confirmed, I WILL purchase it the day it gets out.
