According to GI.biz, Sony has closed the doors on the WipEout developer, Studio Liverpool. Reliable sources have told Eurogamer that a new WipEout title was in the works for Sony’s next console, and had been in development for over a year. Another game that focuses around gangsters and stealth, using similar tech to the motion capture of LA Noire, was said to also be in the works. There isn’t word of any layoffs right now, as Sony is trying to move as many staff as possible to other studios internally.
