Ninja Theory Moves (Quietly)
There once was a company named Just Add Monsters. They created a cool little game for the Xbox called Kung Fu Chaos. My friend Todd has an Xbox, so we play this game at his place and it’s a fun, unique game. After you put an opponent on the floor, you can taunt him/her with a witty remark, and gain points towards a super-move. Great stuff. I posted a link to the game at Amazon to the right. Unfortunately Amazon doesn’t have a cover shot. The game has a great cartoony style.
Anyway, Just Add Monsters became Ninja Theory, and they’re now developing a PS3 title called Heavenly Sword. This game looks really great, and I can’t wait to see more of it. Oh, and Ninja Theory moved offices to make more room for rapid expansion.
“Heavenly Sword is the most anticipated original game for PLAYSTATION 3 according to GameStats.com and we are gunning for it to become one of the first great exclusive games for that platform”, says Nina Kristensen, Chief Development Ninja, “We are offering positions, both full-time and contract, in pretty much every area of games development. Getting close to movie-quality visuals means we also have positions suitable for artists from the CGI industry”
Ninja Theory also posted some great screenshots of the game, you owe it to yourself to take a look. Not only that, but they also have a developer diary, a fascinating read.
