L.A. Noire: First Trailer
The Rockstar Games website has the first full trailer for Team Bondi’s L.A. Noire which is highly rumoured to be PS3 bound although nothing has been mentioned about which platforms it will be released on.
I love the old school detective films where the story is told from the detectives viewpoint as if he’s recounting the story in his head and the trailer captures the feel & mood of those types of films perfectly.
There’s a classic cheesy fight scene at the end to top it all off.
Here’s what R* said about L.A. Noire:
L.A. Noire blends action, detection and complex storytelling and draws players into an open-ended challenge to solve a series of gruesome murders. Set in a perfectly recreated Los Angeles before freeways, with a post-war backdrop of corruption, drugs and jazz, L.A. Noire will truly blend cinema and gaming.
I like the sound of that!
The one downside however is that Brendan McNamara, of The Getaway fame, set up Team Bondi and The Getaway was a poor GTA clone set in London which looked good but didn’t play very well. It certainly didn’t live up to the hype nor did it’s sequel Black Monday.
I hope this doesn’t go the same way as The Getaway. I will be very dissapointed if it does.
