Assassin’s Creed II Limited Edition PS3 Exclusive? (UPDATE)
GameStop will be having a Limited Edition version of Assassin’s Creed II for $70. The thing is, though, GameStop doesn’t mention anything about a 360 version, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it did, indeed, head that was as well (turns out it will be available for the 360). For now, though, it’s only been announced for the PS3. Now, as far as the LE goes, here’s what is included in the packaging:
- Premium Collectable Metal Case
- 8.5 inch Collectable Ezio Statue
- Two Exclusive, in-game maps:
- Palazzo Medici
- Santa Maria dei Frari
- Additional content DVD:
- Behind the scenes of Assassin’s Creed
- Assassin’s Creed II Soundtrack
I’m not sure if the Altair is a misprint or not, because I’d expect the figure to actually be Ezio, so that may just be a misprint on GameStop’s end (afterall, they also said the figure was going to be 3 inches, but their Twitter said it was actually 8.5). As far as the price goes, $10 more isn’t too bad considering what’s included. You can check IGN’s posting on this story here. You can also pre-order online at GameStop.
UPDATE:
Thanks to Eric for pointing it out, but the link to GameStop was the incorrect one. Also, it is not a PS3-exclusive bundle and is actually called the Master Assassin’s edition and will be selling for $80, not $70. Sorry for the mix-up folks.
