IGN had reported that Amazon put up the page for the Game of the Year edition of LittleBigPlanet (but it has since been removed). As you can see, it says it includes over $30 of free content on the disc. No word or specifics of what that content is, but my guess would be level creation and costume packs that have been thus far released in the Store. Also of note, according to IGN, there wasn’t a release date shown, so that’s still up in the air. The game will probably be officially unveiled at GamesCom later this month.

Now, as far as personal opinion goes, if you haven’t played LBP, but own a PS3, at least rent it so you know what the buzz is about. It’s actually a really good platformer. After you get done going through the superb in-game levels, you MUST check out some of the highest rated User Created levels. There are over 1 million levels in all! Something new to try everyday.
