Call Of Duty Cold War

VG247 have found a casting call suggesting that the next Call Of Duty game (due out this year) will be based in Vietnam;

An LA casting call for Call of Duty-related “voice over/motion capture” for an Activision “video game” has described character Frank Barnes as being part of an elite Vietnam unit, the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam – Studies and Observations Group.

But also listed in the advertisement post is a fourth character Kristina Ivanova. a Russian-born martial arts expert and CIA operative who’s “calm to the point of being cold and detached”, which Kotaku has pointed out as being less Vietnam orientated and more Cold War. Using the CIA is a great way to have missions take place all over the world involving different scenarios too and considering the Cold War lasted from 1945 to 1991 it fits in perfectly. I could see the next COD being similar to COD4 with the Americans involved in a war but instead of Iraq its Vietnam. The CIA would then be the equivalent of Price and GAV in the SAS performing the more stealth operations behind enemy lines. There’s a lot of source material out there for this work, heck they could even feature space again
