According to VG247 SCEA Marketing Guru John Koller stated firmly that 3D on PSP will never be. Stating that 3D gaming development is intended on the PS3 platform only. Although he leaves the door open by adding “right now”.

Apparently he shares my opinion on a very important question “Where will portable 3D gaming go?”. I just can’t see the market on that one. The only people I know having a DS are kids and women. Not to generalize the whole Nintendo DS demographic, but I do believe that that’s where their public is at.

Koller further stated that interest in 3D gaming on the retail and publishing side is off the charts. I can’t help but wonder whether the gamers have a real interest in 3D gaming or just see this as a gimmick.
