PS3/Xbox 360 - Which Game Do You Want To See Brought Back From The Retro Afterlife?

I though I’d throw this out to the masses as I recently had a debate with a friend regarding games you’d like to see being re-developed for the consoles of the HD age.

We started off by looking at games that have already been given the HD treatment and I of course mean given a new lease of life. The first game which sprung to mind was the Street Fighter series – quite an obvious one due to it being a massive 2D beat-em-up back in the early/mid 90s. SF always had a huge following, and with Capcom making tons of different versions (anyone remember the Rainbow Edition of SF2? ), they decided to make the jump and give it a next-gen life by bringing out Street Fighter 4 and Super Street Fighter 4.

NBA Jam is another one that’s due to hit the shelves soon, along with Lemmings which was released on the PSN when the Ps3 was launched back in 2006/2007, and whilst you can look at a long list of games being brought back from the Retro afterlife we decided to switch our attention to just one game we would like to see brought back from the dead and one that we’d love to see in full hi-def glory.

My game of choice was Speedball 2 – Brutal Deluxe! I’m sure the banner at the top of this article pretty much gave that one away.

Although, Speedball 2 was considered to be an awesome retro sports beat-em-up, for me it brought back some awesome memories of me and my love for my Atari STe and my Amiga 600 too (yes, I was a spoilt brat!). For such a simple game, it was just totally awesome!

I’d rather not disclose the game my friend chose – I don’t want you guys to think that I have friends who have bad taste in games! 😛

So, to the masses, which game do you think should be brought back from the dead? Why would you want to see this game (regardless of format) brought back to hi-def glory?
