Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown Coming To Consoles
Sega has announced that a console port of the Arcade fighter, Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, will be heading to PSN and XBLA next year. The game has been available in Arcades across Japan since 2010. Sega had previously downplayed any chances of the series returning to consoles after the lackluster release of Virtua Fighter 5 in 2007.
Sega West’s digital business Vice President Haruki Satomi stated that VF5: FS will “bring the ultimate expression of competitive one-on-one gaming to console players in one perfect package.” With Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (rumored to release for consoles next year), Street Fighter x Tekken, Soul Calibur V and now Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown releasing in 2012 fighting game fans have alot to be excited about.
