Wizards of the Coast has released a trailer for the next iteration of the popular Magic: The Gathering electronic game: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013. Watch the video after the jump.

The game board interface appears largely unchanged from Duels 12. The developers have added a wacky rating system to the decks, giving them stars for creature size, deck speed, etc. (like a cart racing game that rates a vehicle’s acceleration, handing, etc.). There are some new creature spells featured, as well as the new Planechase game mode.

The boss is confirmed to be Nicol Bolas, which may lend some credence to speculation that Bolas will be printed as a new Planeswalker card in Magic Core Set 2013. Duels 2013 is due out sometime in the summer of 2012.
