EA Sports and Tiger Woods Part Ways
EA Sports and Tiger woods have decided to part ways after 16 years (EA Sports has published the Tiger Woods PGA Tour game since 1998).
Daryl Holt, VP and GM of Golf For EA Sports said this in a article earlier today.
EA SPORTS and Tiger Woods have also made a mutual decision to end our partnership, which includes Tiger’s named PGA TOUR golf game. We’ve always been big fans of Tiger and we wish him continued success in all his future endeavors.
There was a rumor earlier this year that Tiger Woods ’15 was canceled so they could spend more time developing for next gen. As someone who buys Tiger Woods yearly this is a surprising development, as EA did stick with Tiger through his tough times.
On related news, EA Sports will still be partnering with PGA TOUR to continue bringing new golf titles to the market. Below is a screen shot of their next gen game.
As an avid Tiger Woods Player with a Platinum trophy in ’13, I am very curious to see where they go from here. Will Tiger even be playable after the split or is it more the title being based around him?
