[Review Revisited] Sports Champions
I thought this week I would discuss one of the best PlayStation Move games. You know those wands you bought that had the light up ping pong ball on the top of them? Sure, they are collecting dust right now, but once Project Morpheus comes out I think they will become an integral for said device.
Sports Champions is the equivalent of Wii Sports from the Wii. It lets you use you new motion controlled wands to play different games including Disc Golf, Archery, Gladiator Combat, Table Tennis, Volley Ball, and Bocce Ball. Some were quite good, and I remember my wife and I playing quite a bit of Bocce Ball. The Archery was really fun as well. Unfortunately with all of it’s positives it still lacked something similar to what made Wii Sports special, and even ended up looking like a clone of it in the process.
There was a sequel released which garnered little praise due to PlayStation Move being almost dead after being used in so few games. The tech was actually better than the Wii’s (but also more expensive) which was the most disappointing part as it showed promise.
