I love a good post-apocalyptic game set in a wasteland! Thankfully we have seen more than our fair share in recent years thanks to Fallout, MadMax, and a revitalized franchise we had been waiting on making a come back for long time: Wasteland!
Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut is a sequel to a very old PC game that actually lead to the creation of the Fallout series. In some ways, you could say this is a parallel universe version of Fallout 3. It feels like a much more evolved version of Fallout 2 with that same isometric viewpoint, improved thanks to that 21st Century polish we’ve come to expect from new games.
I really enjoyed the game due to the character creation, combat, humor, and graphics – it was really a great package. This is a game that if you missed out on you should really go and check out. This is specially true if you enjoy games with great combat and replay value.
The creators of the game just launched a crowd funding campaign on FIG for Wasteland 3 and have already hit their main goal target with 12 days to go. It’s looking like the next entry will take place in the “Savage Lands of Frozen Colorado.” I’m looking forward to getting my hands on that title! The great news is that, yes, it is coming to PlayStation 4 in 2018.
