[Review Revisited] Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2
Ah, Castlevania. A beloved series that unfortunately will not be getting a new entry anytime soon… if at all. The 2D games in the franchise are beloved by many, while the 3D entries seem to be more of an acquired taste. I’ve played most of the games in the series (except for the SEGA Genesis release and those that remained a Japan-only release), and I even got a chance to review Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 on PlayStation 3.
The Lords of Shadow sub-series from Spanish studio MercurySteam is a new take on the story of the long running Castlevania series, allowing players to play as, well… Dracula himself. I had a lot of fun with most of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 except for some stealth sections that felt out of place inside of an otherwise action-heavy title.
