[PlayStation 4] Disco Dodgeball Remix Review
Disco Dodgeball Remix is a very fun and highly addictive multiplayer game now on PlayStation 4 that you should check out. Find out why in our Disco Dodgeball Remix!
I have had an absolute blast playing Disco Dodgeball Remix for this review. I took on several matches with players online, as well as others matches with AI bots during some lulls in the lobbies, which was definitely a good way of handling things. The game is packed with tons of modes and features, and you can play all kinds of stuff like Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and Hoops, with more options to try as well! If you just pick a quick session you can play countless modes in quick succession since the game chooses the mode to play randomly and drops you in without any hassle.
The game is so easy to pick up and play and it teaches you the basics of movement, shooting, jumping and more with a great tutorial that gets right to the point, leading the way to hours and hours of addictive fun. I liked how the tutorial was setup since you learn as you go rather than have text boxes popping up with the control layout and things to do. The tutorial definitely made it easier for me to jump into the game and get the hang of things in no time.
And if multiplayer isn’t your bag, then there are several things to do in single player, including an Arcade Mode, the offline version of the online action when you want to take on what the game has to offer on your own by battling against AI bots, as well as plenty of customization options and a variety of difficulty settings, so there is something for every type of gamer in this one. But you do need to be aware of the fact that if you want to get the game’s Platinum trophy, then you’ll certainly need to dive into the multiplayer side of things. Oh, and you can level up in single player and multiplayer sessions, unlocking extra stuff as you go collecting robot parts for crafting stuff to make your bots look better.
Something I did want to mention is that since the game is played from a first-person perspective, due to the way the graphics are presented, and the fast-paced action and color-coded teams, some of you might get some motion sickness after playing for a bit. Nothing major since it’s not too different from what you’d get from playing, say, a FPS on your PlayStation 4, but it is something I wanted you to be aware of.
Disco Dodgeball Remix is a fun, fast-paced and very addictive game which I had a lot of fun experiencing for this review. The game has a lot to offer when playing online and offline, and the experience can be tailored for players of all skill levels. The trophy list is certainly challenging and will probably make this one a rare Platinum trophy, but if you persevere and have a proper amount of patience, you will surely prevail. I hope you enjoy this one as well!
