Animated Jigsaws: Japanese Women from Rainy Frog is a game in which you will complete puzzles with beautiful ladies. Learn more in our Animated Jigsaws: Japanese Women review!

As was the case for Animated Jigsaws: Beautiful Japanese Scenery, for which you can check our review right here, in Animated Jigsaws: Japanese Women, you will take on animated jigsaw puzzles you have to put back together. Each of the puzzles will feature beautiful Japanese ladies in colorful attires. They will be wearing traditional kimono and yukata clothes as they pose in locations such as Kyoto City, near a gorgeous lake, or while relaxing in a hot spring bath.

You can take on each of the puzzles on your own, or have up to four players in total trying to help to solve the puzzle. There are three difficulty settings for each puzzle, and the higher the difficulty, the more pieces a puzzle will have. The options for this are to solve puzzles with 60, 120, or even 240 pieces! If you’re having trouble solving a puzzle, you could always save your progress so that you can come back to it later. Sometimes relaxing for a bit and taking your mind off from that puzzle will be just what you need to take on it with a refreshed brain.

Animated Jigsaws: Japanese Women Switch Review - 3

The game can be played either with the Joy-Con or the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, using the left analog stick to move the cursor on the screen, pressing the A button to select a piece, to then hold down the button so that you can drag a piece to its place on the jigsaw puzzle so that it can snap into place. If you want to play the game in Portable or Tabletop mode, or if you are playing on a Nintendo Switch Lite, you can use the console’s touchscreen to touch a piece and drag it into place. It’s a very relaxing experience, no matter how you play it.

There’s also the option of taking on each puzzle with all of the jigsaw pieces shuffled up, or you can click – or press – the button on the upper left corner of the screen to separate all of the jigsaw pieces into edge pieces and inside pieces. By doing this, you’ll be able to focus on first placing all of the edge pieces on the puzzle to give you a better idea of how to take on placing the inside pieces of the puzzle. This is optional, so if you want to go at it the regular way, you can do that as well.
