The PS gaming market has continued to grow at a steady pace, showing its force in full over the last year. As for our list of games to check out in 2020?

Apex Legends

Enter the Titanfall Universe and create teams of three to fight against 57 warriors and gather as much loot as possible. The game has great rewards for the last team standing. However, it doesn’t fit into the class of PUBG and Fortnite as you have to take on classes, each of which a unique character represents.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

Released in 2019, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a military-themed game that brings you face to face with the harsh realities of war. Doing away with fantasy, it introduces you to the war weapons, gear, and gadgets that soldiers in Russia and the Middle East use today. Plus, the game has several multiplayer modes.

Little Nightmares 2

This one is for fans of the horror genre who don’t mind their childhood fears coming back to life. It revolves around the heroine Six, a girl who is stranded on a nightmarish island.

For the sequel, you play as Mono, a boy who has taken over the task of finding the secrets of a tower that is distorting his world. But gamers must hurry as they have to find out these secrets before Six fades away. As an added bonus, buying the game grants you both the PS4 and the PS5 versions at no extra cost!

Balan Wonderworld

Scheduled to be released on March 26, 2021, Balan Wonderworld promises to be a 3D platform game based on the theme of music. You have to join Leo and Emma as they explore the mysterious Wonderworld. We’re getting some Nights into Dreams vibes at times – a great classic from Sega – so we look forward to this Square Enix release!

The duo has the ability to don different costumes to suit different roles and powers. The game combines 12 stories featuring different stars and you have to fight enemies and solve puzzles on the way to get rewards.

Horizon Forbidden West

If you love Horizon Zero Dawn, then you’re certainly looking forward to what Horizon Forbidden West will bring on PlayStation! We look forward to the return of Aloy, who will be visiting locations such as San Francisco and Yosemite Valley. The game will be releasing on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 late this year, unless there are some issues during development due to the pandemic.

Skull and Bones
A creation of Ubisoft, Skull and Bones takes you on a multiplayer naval adventure and challenges you to destroy and loot as many ships as you can. The game is all about fighting, stealing gold, and getting rich.

Returnal is set to release on April. It’s a game set on an unfriendly planet that changes whenever a game character dies. This forces you to continuously adapt to the changing environment. The game is rather intense with plenty of intrigue and action.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is another one of those games that is out on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It’s the latest release in the long-running series, now set during Viking times, which means that you’re getting a very different experience compared to, say, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, while still staying true to the formula.

Battlefield 1

Are you tired of playing Call of Duty? Then try this first-person shooter game, which focuses on World War I. The game features war weapons and vehicles and a ton of challenging levels to play as you take on the rich story and environments you’ll explore during your time with Battlefield 1.

Resident Evil: Village

Extremely tall vampire lady alert! Resident Evil: Village is right around the corner, with its PlayStation 5 debut set for May 7, 2021. This is a sequel that takes place a few years after the events of Resident Evil 7, and it sees Ethan Winters and his wife Mia trying to live free from the nightmares of their past… until things start to catch up to them.
