Daylife in Japan Review - 3

Daylife in Japan from QUByte Interactive is a fun and relaxing jigsaw puzzle game with a pixel presentation on Nintendo Switch. You’ll be trying to complete animated jigsaw puzzles with a pixeltastic look, all while listening to a very chill and relaxing soundtrack. There are five difficulty settings from which to choose from so that players of all skill levels can have a chance to complete the five puzzles that Daylife in Japan has to offer. The difficulty settings are Relaxing, Easy, Fun, Challenging, and Pro. The higher the difficulty, the more pieces a jigsaw puzzle will have.

You will move a cursor on the screen with the left analog stick and can use the A button to grab a piece, as well as to release it. To zoom in and out, just press the R and L buttons, respectively. You can press and hold down the B button to go into Precision Mode, which will make your cursor move at a much slower pace so that you can find the right place to place a puzzle piece. You can press the ZL button to shuffle any loose pieces or press the ZL button to show only corner pieces. The X button can be pressed to see a preview image of what you need to complete. You can also play by using the console’s touchscreen when taking this one for a spin in Portable or Tabletop Mode or when playing on a Nintendo Switch Lite.

Daylife in Japan Review - 2

Daylife in Japan is a fun jigsaw puzzle game that showcases some solid pixel art for each of the five jigsaw puzzles you can complete. How much you enjoy this one will depend on how much you like completing jigsaw puzzles if you like replaying puzzles more than once by splitting the animated image into more puzzle pieces, and if you like its looping song. Daylife in Japan is out on Nintendo Switch for a budget $3.99 asking price.
