A Little Lily Princess from Ratalaika Games and Hanako Games is a new visual novel on PlayStation 4. You’ll be taking on a Yuri visual novel, playing as Sara Crewe in British-controlled India. She was raised as a princess, always getting the best of everything. After growing up, there comes a time when she must be sent to a boarding school in a foreign land. She’ll have to make new friends, and will have to rely on her love of books and fairy tales to try and find some new connections in this new part of her life.

A Little Lily Princess Review - 1

For this Victorian-style visual novel, you will have to select your schedule for the week, taking on different activities for each day of the week. Depending on what activity you select, you’ll gain a boost to your stats – Knowledge, Artistry, Patience, Sympathy, Grace, Belief, and Vigour. Based on the choices you make, Sara’s path will change, and she’ll connect more closely with one of the girls that can become a love interest. For the second act of the story, due to a a specific twist, you’ll be working on a new set of stats: Hunger, Fatigue, Pride, Pain, Chill, and Sorrow. Managing them while also trying to reach a happy ending with one of the potential love interests is definitely a struggle!

A Little Lily Princess Review - 2

There are six girls that you can grow closer to during your time with A Little Lily Princess: Jessie, Lottie, Lavinia, Ermengarde, Mariette, and Becky. This means that, as expected, if you want to get a new Platinum trophy for your collection, you’ll need to play the game from start to finish at least six times. There are trophies tied to completing all events for each of the six girls during the first act of the story, and then doing the same during the second act of the game to unlock that girl’s happy ending. There’s also one trophy for maxing out all stats at any time, which will give you an option to skip that week’s activities.

A Little Lily Princess Review - 3

A Little Lily Princess is a fun Yuri visual novel with six different story paths for you to take as you play around with some lite RPG stat-building elements. You’ll be playing this one for a handful of hours before you see an ending, and for subsequent runs you might want to skip text some of the text as you find the new routes to take. A Little Lily Princess is out on PlayStation 4 with a $14.99 price.
