GLO from eastasiasoft and Chronik Spartan is a 2D puzzle platformer in which you will need to use any light source to reach the exit. You’ll take on 100 levels of increasing difficulty as you hop on top of enemies and make them explode so that you can reach the exit square that will transport you to the next level. All levels are shrouded in darkness, so you’ll have to pay attention to the different light sources in each level, as well as use the energy squares you shoot out to find the right way to the exit.

GLO Review - 1

This is a puzzle game with a minimalist look, and the controls are also simple and to the point. You will move your square with the left analog stick, jumping and double jumping with the X button. If you hug a wall, you can then wall jump your way towards victory, speeding up your progress. You can shoot your energy cube with the R2 button, which will light your way. You can shoot this cube all around you by aiming with the right analog stick. You can also pick up a special sticky cube that you can shoot with the L2 button so that you can have a set light source to help you.

GLO Review - 2

The game includes a full trophy list with a Platinum for you to add to your collection. The trophies are very straightforward since you’ll get most of them by playing the game and completing the first 20 levels it has to offer. Along with that, you’ll need to die 50 times in total, which won’t be hard to do since you can just fall to your death over and over on some of the levels. You can end up with a new Platinum in around 20-30 minutes or so.

GLO Review - 3

GLO is a fun, minimalist 2D puzzle platformer that is easy to play since you’ll only be going from point A to point B, jumping, and wall jumping as you use every light source to teleport onto the next level. GLO is available on PlayStation 4 with a low price of only $4.99.
