Cosmic Express from Draknek & Friends is a fun puzzle game in which you will lay down the tracks across a series of tiny space stations. It has a very colorful and charming presentation for what is a puzzle game with a challenge that increases at a steady pace as you try to get all aliens onboard the train. Once they ride the train, you must take them to their destination. Things will start out easy, with only one alien to deliver to its destination. Each alien must ride on one cart of the train, so you can’t just pick them up in whichever order you want to, or else you’ll fail the puzzle.
You can play this one either with physical controls, or use the Nintendo Switch’s touchscreen when playing in Portable or Tabletop Mode. When using the physical controls, you’ll move a cursor around the playing area with the left analog stick. To draw a track, just press the A button and move the cursor around. If you need to undo something, press the Y button. If you’ve made too many mistakes, press the X button to reset the current puzzle. Once you think you’ve done everything that is needed, press the B button to start the train and set it in motion.
With over 100 puzzles to solve, Cosmic Express has a lot to offer for puzzle fans. It has a good difficulty curve that will increase the challenge at a steady pace, without overwhelming players. The more levels you complete, the more levels you’ll unlock, and some of them will have more than one exit, so you’ll have to complete them in different ways. Cosmic Express is out on Nintendo Switch with a $9.99 price.
